FOR YOUR PETS |
SEE SOME OF THE FUN THAT YOU CAN HAVE! Many of us with dogs find it very good physically and emotionally, for both dogs and humans, to get active! The dogs enjoy the fun and the humans are proud “fur parents”! Here are some pictures of activities the dogs can do! (set your browser to zoom and see the pictures larger!) |
AGILITY |
RALLY |
Here are Linda and Bruno, American Eskimo Dog, training. |
Here are Clarissa and Anny, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, giving a demo. |
ANNY DOES MORE THAN JUST RALLY! Anny is ARCHEX in rally. She truly is top dog! To see more of what Anny can do, please go to here own website! |
KAYAKING |
BOO THE KAYAKING CORGI! He is with his Mom, Ellen, and Dad, Larry, in this just-for- fun picture here. Boo lives in No. CA and goes kayaking in the ocean and bay. He wears his life jacket, like Mom and Dad, too! |
ANNY HAS BEEN BUSY-SHE HAS A NEW VIDEO! Want to learn rally? Can’t remember the moves? Then check out the ONLY rally video available anywhere! |
Under B00’s feet is a nonslip mat. He loves to look out and go for rides. Can’t you tell by his smile? Boo doesn’t jump out or move around but just takes it all in as he goes. |
CANOEING |
EMILY AND CORKY THE CANOEING CORGIS! Inspired by Boo’s adventures, we asked Ellen give us some hints for our canoe. We practiced on dry land first a few times and then made the real trip. Didn’t want the furkids to jump out and tip the canoe! We have non-slip mat on the bottom and another small mat taped to the bow. This way our corgis can stand and look out without slipping. Emily is the first picture on July 4th and Corky is in the lower picture on July 20th. As we passed the camp along the creek, some of the teens saw us and started clapping and taking pictures. We are trying to go at least once every week or two. The corgis love it and we find it invigorating. THANKS ELLEN!! |

HERDING |
Nov 7, 2009-Ginny’s turn to do something-herding test! The PWCC of the Garden State sponsored a herding test near us at a farm. Ginny is a red-headed, tri-colored corgi who is on the small side. She never saw stock before. It took her a few times, and then going in the pen with a strong-herding boy, but she finally got the idea! The day was fun and the weather nice! It’s all about getting active with your dog! (Set your browser to zoom to see the pictures larger!) |
SWIMMING |
Nov. 2010-Here’s Emily swimming for the first time in the pool. She was afraid at first (left pix) but then I held her and talked to her. She then got going and didn’t want to leave. I limited her time to 15 minutes. |
