THE GLASSHOUSE

2009-This is our 7’  x 9’ glasshouse, built in 2000.

That’s big enough for what we do here.

Here in June with the last of the spring

Seedlings to plant, our glasshouse is ready then for the floral arrangements.

Our dual wash tub allows a neat area for washing vases and pots.

In 2010, we tore down the glasshouse!

This was hand-built by my father and husband and served us well. Alas, not everything lasts forever…even the metal ones at warranted for only 10 years.

A branch fell on the roof breaking part  of the truss and glass. I decided on replacing this with a same-size potting shed in the base. This was a major project finding the plans or an as-built shed that I liked.

Our carpenter, Jason Patterson, and friend, Doug Lindow of Frugal Fixit Fellas,  working on the potting shed in March 2011.
